Tamsir sta per discutere la sua tesi in Scienze Politiche, Relazioni Internazionali, Dritti Umani all’Università di Padova.
La sua tesi si intitola: “The Emancipation Of Women In West Africa & The Role Of Women In Politic.”
“L’ingresso delle potenze europee nel continente africano durante il periodo coloniale ha cambiato radicalmente l’Africa. Queste hanno stabilito nuovi confini basati esclusivamente su interessi commerciali; modificato le logiche produttive dal sostentamento interno alle esportazioni per profitti esterni; introdotto nuovi valori e standard attraverso l’educazione missionaria; hanno infine sostituito il governo africano con il governo di dittatura straniera.
Ciò che hanno sperimentato è stata una continua resistenza al cambiamento, a volte organizzato e a volte spontaneo, ma sempre più costoso durante il periodo coloniale.
Alla fine, e dopo massicce brutalità e violenze, le potenze europee lasciarono le società che avevano così devastato, accontentandosi di riprendere i modelli commerciali iniziati con la tratta degli schiavi, esportando merci senza sostenere i costi del colonialismo.” tratto da William H. “È chiaro il motivo per cui l’Africa è quello che è oggi e sono molto ottimista riguardo il futuro.
Gli africani hanno spezzato le catene della schiavitù, del colonialismo e dell’imperialismo. Spero di assistere alla creazione degli Stati Uniti d’Africa. Fino ad allora, continueremo a combattere percorrendo ogni strada”.

“The entrance of European powers into the African continent during the colonial period change Africa fundamentally. They established new borders based solely on commercial resources; shifted production away from internal sustenance to exports external profits; interjected new values and standards through missionary education; and replaced African rule with governance by foreign dictate.
What they experienced was ongoing resistance to change, some times organised and sometimes spontaneous, but increasingly costly throughout the colonial period. In the end and after massive brutality and violence, the European powers left the societies they had so devastated, content to resume the trade patterns that began with the slave trade, exporting goods without incurring the costs of Colonialism.”

“It’s clear why Africa is what it is Today and I’m very optimistic about the future.
